I finished the back of the cabled cardi. I actually finished it a week or so ago and am now ignoring it again. I am not sure what my problem is with this sweater because I don't dislike the yarn or the pattern. I don't think this will be finished for her birthday though at the rate I am moving on it.

Recent additions to the sock yarn stash from Brooklyn Handspun:

Chocolate covered cherries - yum.

Lombard melon - yum again.

I first heard about this yarn from Lolly. It is even more gorgeous in real ife than it is in the pictures. Marie and dyes get along really well and she has great service.

Speaking of sock yarn stash, I took a picture of mine last week. Um, scary. I was pretty surprised on how many pairs I could make. Not as surprised as hubby was though. I tried to tell him I could show him much bigger stashes than mine, but he wasn't interested. All he said was "Two wrongs don't make a right". What a clever saying. Do you think he made that up? Anyway, I am saving the picture of it for April 1, which in case you didn't know is Flash Your Stash Day. I am going to use it as a way to get organized and a reality check, both of which I really need. Should be interesting. So get your cameras out and snap some pics of your stash. Don't be scared. You know you want to.

Happy Hump Day and Happy Knitting!

Why do I think my name might have been involved in that conversation with your husband?!? Isn't Marie's yarn great? I just love her stuff.

My latest idea is to split the sock yarn up into 3 groups and store them in three different locations. It doesn't seem to upset M as much this way. That chocolate covered cherries makes me a little breathless.

I think the sweater is lovely! Don't fail on it, get back in the saddle. Lovely sock yarn, too bad it's sock yarn! I am definitely not into knitting socks right now.

My problem is that it would take too long to find my stash which all over this house. I think it's taking over and I don't want to make it, or anyone else around here, mad.

The cabled cardi back is lovely! And the sock yarn...I can't believe how much sock yarn is out there, and I have so little. I want more! But wait, I joined SYAC! Well, maybe when it's all over.

Is that La Gran? I love that yarn. I haven't knit with it in ages, as I always feel as if I look like a big colored marshmallow in it, but I used to knit with it all of the time. My girls all have had sweaters out of it when they were little. Matching ones, that matched their Easter dresses and my sweater........... Those were the days.
