WIP Wednesday

There are advantages to setting easy goals for the week... they are easy to meet. I made a little progress on the Serpentine Mitts. My goal for this week is to finish one mitt.

The Noro scarf continues to grow. It's a little over 4 feet right now. I really don't have a goal for this project. It's my easy project I need for when I'm tired or involved in something on TV.

I brought Clapotis with me to MD and worked on this more than anything else I brought. It has been months since I picked this up and I am enjoying working on it again. I am on the straight section right now. My goal this week is to complete 2 repeats of section 3. I like the way this looks in person, but I don't like it at all in the pictures for some strange reason.

Last week I said I would bring the yarn to start the sleeves for Liv and I did. Granted I only did a few rows, but start them I did. My goal this week is to work 10 rows on each sleeve. I think that is doable.

I also started spinning some new fiber. This is a basic wool blend in a colorway called Dogwood. I should be able to finish the second bobbin by next week.

That should keep me busy and out of trouble I think. Happy Knitting!

Dogwood is just spectacular! Very spring. Where did you find it?

I know what you mean about not liking the picture but liking the project in person...all of your wips are so nice.

And thank you for the continued spinning inspiration. I got out my wheel and I am going to spin at lunch today!

Everything looks beautiful but your Clapotis is extra lovely. I've never knit one and probably should.

You actually made a lotta progress, considering you were traveling and not at home. Your mitts are coming along quickly!

I am a bit late to your blog Karen. Your granddaughters are so sweet; they truly are a blessing. It must be tough to leave them but all the hugs and kisses when you arrive next time make it all worth while!
What yarn are you using for Clapotis? I have had my eye on that pattern and just being nosey.
Love the spinning woman!

Like they say, "Pictures don't do [it] justice." Clapotis is a great pattern and it works with variegated yarn because the dropped stitches reduce the pooling. Yours looks great, by the way!

I agree, those clapotis are not all that photogenic until finished. Pretty colours.

You're a genius! Small goals mean you can feel productive all the time!

btw - great kimono on the last post! So cute!

Karen, you have some wonderful projects on the needles and wheel. I love the way you have a list of goals for the week too.
Love the Dogwood!

Simple goals sound like a good plan -- you can see regular progress each week. I need to do that too. Your mitts are coming along nicely!
