WIP Wednesday

I finished off the newest Ampersand socks. I love these even more than the first pair, if that is possible. The color is wonky in both pictures and is somewhere in the middle of both of them.

This is my third attempt at making a sock yarn scrap blanket. I liked the square that Jane made in her 7/12 post and copied that. I really like this one and think this will be the one that works. Time will tell...but I have already started the second one. That is a good sign I think.

I also ripped and restarted the blueberry waffle socks on smaller needles, except this time I also changed the stitch pattern to seed stitch rib. I guess I can't call them waffle socks any more, now can I? I can't remember right now where I saw the pattern, but I liked the way it looked and so I stuck the stitch pattern into my regular sock formula. I haven't made it far enough to tell if I like these better or not.

My goals for this week are to finish plying the green Corriedale, make some decent progress on the seed stitch socks and finish another sock yarn square. I also would like to start working again on my Ribby Shell that I have been ignoring for a while now. I thought maybe if I typed that, it would motivate me.

I am on my way to NYC with hubby. He is going there on business and I am tagging along because I can. I haven't been to the city in a couple of years and I am looking forward to a fun few days exploring the city. Tomorrow I plan on hitting the garment district and Purl. I can't wait! I'll be back in a few days.

Happy Knitting!

Have fun in my favorite city! I went on a yarn crawl a couple weeks ago and treated myself to some Manos at Purl. So pretty!

Love your new socks. I have been working on a similar pattern for a leftover sock yarn blanket. I love the way the squares look like the "gods eyes" we used to make at camp when we were little.

So jealous! Have a blast in NYC.

Your Ampersands are beautiful. Waterlilies is such a gorgeous colorway. I knit the Mad Colorweave pattern with it, and they are one of my favorite pair of socks.

pretty socks, and they look oh so comfy.

Sock yarn blankets are cool - now you have me wondering where I left my one that was in progress... hmmm.

I love your socks. The colors are beautiful.

Hope you have a wonderful time in the city. I haven't been to NYC in ages.

The socks are lovely. I love the thought of a sock yarn blanket and the square you knit is excellent. I think you'll have no trouble knitting it.

Love those socks! You amaze me at how you get them to be identical in their striping.
